One of the earlier movies in Jeff Goldblum's career that highlighted him as a gifted actor was The Fly, an familiarization of the same-named hasty financial credit by George Langelaan that had previously been translated to film in 1958. As one would expect with David Cronenberg in the director's chair, this financial credit of The hover was significantly scarier than its predecessor, and (SPOILER alert) it finished with Goldblum's Seth Brundle bodily killed hence that his suffering as a monstrosity would finally end. The hover II followed in 1989, but decades later, Goldblum has some ideas for different follow-up, which could revolve just about either Seth's grandson or brother. As Goldblum sees it:
I don't think my mood would be in force because of course I got tragically mutated with the hover and then the machine, oh boy. But most likely I produce a result stirring as a grandchild of the native Seth Brundle, or Seth Brundle had a brother. Had a brother that emerges in some ways! Who knows, I don't know but David Cronenberg was a thrill to produce a result with. Boy, if he was in force I'd with to produce a result with him again, I'll say you that.
The hover II followed Seth Brundle's son, Martin, who developed at an accelerated rate, was played by Eric Stoltz as an adult and ultimately followed in his father's footsteps by turning into a fly-like monster. Unlike Seth, however, Martin managed to revert to a thoroughly human form, with the sequel's villain, Anton Bartok, bodily turned into the monster. But should any lingering hover genetic material have remained in Martin's system, then it's doable that Martin and his love interest, Beth, might have spawned a child that continues the Brundle tradition of turning into a freak of nature. on the extra hand, if we met Seth's brother, that would be easier to pull off for Jeff Goldblum, as this brother could easily be explained away as a twin. As for why he would point of view into a monster, well, most likely he just didn't just agree to what happened to Seth seriously ample and subjected himself to his own experiment, or he was transformed against his will.
While Jeff Goldblum's suggestions on a extra hover movie to Bloody ugly extremely unassailable interesting, there's been no word in recent years roughly if David Cronenberg would still desire to return to this horrific world. However, last year, it was reported that Sleight director J.D. Lillard was looking to helm a hover remake using a script he co-wrote with his writing partner, Alex Theuer. Assuming that project goes forward, then it stands to explanation that Goldblum and Cronenberg returning for a extra hover movie would be more unlikely.
