It's easy to fixate upon Avengers: Infinity feat as the biggest matter in the works to the MCU right now, and even if the movie is indeed a omnipotent event, we can't forget roughly the future. The MCU may have some omnipotent changes in accrual post-Avengers 4 and not just for the characters that will be leaving, but then for the ones who will be joining. The Disney/Fox agreement means that the astonishing Four and the X-Men in the MCU are a genuine possibility for the first time in... well, ever. How this would decree the still entirely wealthy X-Men franchise is unknown, but the astonishing Four aren't in that ship and Marvel might already be taking steps to prep audiences for an MCU-ized astonishing Four.
Last week, Marvel announced that it would be releasing a brand new astonishing Four comic tape after cancelling the series in 2014. Marvel has been building in the works to this for a while, but rarely does the publisher ever create decisions anymore without later how the movies have shaped the mainstream incline of their characters. later this in mind, it's my opinion that Marvel Comics is decree its share of reintroducing the astonishing Four to capitalize upon the team's inevitable reboot upon the big screen.
Since the end of their series, the astonishing Four have largely had zero presence in the comics. even if the matter and Human Torch have still been around, the Richards relatives has been MIA rebuilding the multiverse after the actions of shadowy Wars. That share is honestly a great ending for the team, but it's sullied by the rumored corporate pettiness that caused the termination in the first place.
Some backstory: it's long been rumored that Marvel Comics made matter decisions to diminish the prescience of X-Men and astonishing Four characters because those characters' movie rights were controlled by Fox. Apparently, it even went as in the distance as former Marvel CEO Ike Perlmutter banning all astonishing Four memorabilia from Marvel offices. It's notable that the astonishing Four tape was cancelled right not far off from the time of the 2015 movie reboot, helping to diminish the characters from the public eye. Jonathan Hickman, the writer of astonishing Four at the time, said that the series was cancelled because of the movie.
Now the tape is coming back right as the characters are going through a lengthy agreement to partner the MCU. The Disney/Fox agreement is not 100% and there's always the chance that the agreement won't create it through the government. However, there's then the chance that it will pass and the astonishing Four are primed for option reboot. It's in the distance easier to run by the existence of the astonishing Four in the MCU than it is the X-Men. Four people go to circulate and acquire superpowers. Done. Obviously, Marvel would come in the works later some new coloring, but there are large quantity of ways to convincingly seam the astonishing Four into the movies.
It could be coincidental that a new tape is upon the quirk at this particular time but it's not exactly unheard of for Marvel to tie in creative changes later what's in the works in the movies. They actually complete it quite a lot. Doctor unfamiliar and Black Panther got major pushes past their movies hit theaters, and Marvel will typically capitalize upon the movies later certain storylines. For example, dispensation a storyline later The Lizard returns right later the atmosphere is the main villain in amazing Spider-Man. Marvel will then straight in the works redo characters to allow the movies. The Guardians of the Galaxy basically got a facelift to allow their movie counterparts, from the lineup of their team to the humor to their costumes. Tony Stark became a bit more later Robert Downey Jr. and Thor got a haircut past Chris Hemsworth did. Even right now Marvel is prepping a big matter tied to the hunt for the reborn Infinity Stones, which doesn't strong au fait or based upon anything in the works right now at all. They even wrote a sequel to Civil feat (it wasn't entirely good).
There's always the likely chance that Marvel is pushing tackle later the astonishing Four now to reinvigorate sales. The tape wasn't exactly a best seller later it left shelves, suitably it makes sense, to create the team disappear for a few years, create people miss them, and then bring them back later renewed audience interest. upon the new hand, the astonishing Four are the pillar upon which the house was built. You wouldn't ever look DC call off Batman or Superman.
It's great that the astonishing Four are coming back into the limelight and we can unaccompanied wish that the similar is legitimate for the movies. The potential of the team has never in reality been captured upon film and Marvel has more than proved that it knows how to meet the expense of fun and new takes upon characters that have been rebooted later Spider-Man: Homecoming. We'll just have to wait and look whether or not the comic ends in the works reflecting the movie of Marvel's First Family.
