Warning: smooth spoilers ahead for mother and Dad! door ahead at your own risk!
Nicolas Cage has become notorious for his manic and lithe performances higher than the years, but few can compare to his recent incline in mother and Dad. Suburban father who mysteriously finds himself sent into a murderous rage, the film drew passable compliment for its sheer wackiness on its release, and now it seems that Cage himself is incredibly excited in bringing a sequel to life. Speaking later than CinemaBlend just about the pardon of his most recent film, The humanity Bureau, Cage addressed his filmography and admitted that mother and father 2 is something that he's incredibly intrigued by, saying:
I think in terms of sequels, I think mother and father has potential for a sequel. I think so, yeah. I mean, I would be excited to see the running it could go in, but I think it was probably the most dysfunctional relatives ever put on celluloid, and later than the grandparents coming in. You know, I think that there could be some sort of switch that gets flipped once again where the children start taking higher than and subsequently going on a rampage. I feel later than you could complete something later than the adapter particular relatives once again and subsequently I have a lot of fun later than it.
Those of you who have seen mother and father likely already know how this could pan out. The original film follows Nicolas Cage and Selma Blair's characters as they find themselves overtaken by a puzzling static that compels them to murder their children. However, in a potential sequel, Cage seems to think that a follow-up movie could flip the script and send the children into the murderous rampage experienced by the adults in the original.
If you have not seen Nicolas Cage's wild accomplish in mother and Dad, subsequently create definite to check out the charmingly NSFW clip from the film, below.
Whether or not mother and father 2 can actually happen is arguably a pretty fascinating discussion. The film didn't create much of an ventilate in terms of financial accomplish later than it debuted, but it did go higher than quite without difficulty later than critics and audiences, earning a 73% on Rotten Tomatoes in the process. keep arguably talks louder than all in Hollywood, but it's not definitely outlandish to think that lover promptness could encourage bring a mother and father sequel to energy at some point.
Of course, for right now Nicolas Cage seems excited in focusing on a more reserved accomplish that doesn't accomplish to the thesame beats as mother and Dad. In fact, elsewhere in his interview later than CinemaBlend, the adjustment star revealed that his accomplish on The humanity group was defined mainly by his desire to accomplish a more "internal" role that doesn't feature him playing to that eternal Nic Cage mania.
We here at CinemaBlend will save you posted later than more updates joined the world of Nicolas Cage and whether or not he ever decides actually to create mother and father 2. For now, you can currently catch him in The humanity Bureau, which is welcoming on VOD and in select theaters!
